TrustAI Project Presented During the CET General Assembly

On June 20, 2025, during the General Assembly of the Canarias Excelencia Tecnológica (CET) cluster, the progress and achieved results of the European project TrustAI – Higher Education as a Catalyst for the Trustworthy and Sustainable Use of AI, funded under the Erasmus+ programme, were presented.

The event brought together technology companies, educational institutions, and innovation organizations from the Canary Islands, providing an opportunity to promote the project among key players in the region’s digital transformation.

During the presentation, the CET team highlighted the main objectives of the TrustAI project, aimed at strengthening the capacity of higher education to prepare students and lecturers for the ethical, trustworthy, and sustainable use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Special emphasis was placed on the importance of humanities students acquiring digital competences and understanding the potential of AI as a tool to enhance creative and analytical processes. It was underlined that integrating AI into education encourages critical thinking, responsible technology use, and adaptability to a constantly evolving job market.

The TrustAI project, in which CET is one of the key partners, continues to develop interactive microlearning resources and a digital training platform that will help future professionals in the humanities adapt to future technologies in an ethical and sustainable way.
